Ruby OAuth maintains OAuth protocol libraries for Ruby and the small supporting gems that keep those libraries easier to test, document, and operate.
Contribution guidelines live in each project's CONTRIBUTING.md.
Fun fact: the ruby-oauth project was the original OAuth project for Ruby. It is now more than 18 years old and began at Twitter when Twitter still ran on Ruby.
This project relies on contributors and sponsors. Please get involved.
While ruby-oauth tools are free software and will always be, the project would benefit immensely from stable funding. Raising a monthly budget of a couple of thousand dollars would make it possible to pay people to work on certain complex features, implement additional draft spec compliance, improve the security profile, benchmark performance, and fund other development work such as hardware and conference travel. Raising a monthly budget of $5000 would open the possibility of someone working nearly full-time on the project which would speed up the pace of development significantly.
We welcome both individual and corporate sponsors! We also offer a wide array of funding channels to account for your preferences.
Open Collective is our preferred funding platform due to its transparency.
If you're working in a company that's making significant use of ruby-oauth tools we'd appreciate it if you suggest to your company to become a ruby-oauth sponsor.
You can support the development of Ruby OAuth via GitHub Sponsors, Liberapay, PayPal, Open Collective and Tidelift.
